| We already know by research that recognition is crucial in any work domain. I really appreciated that review and I agree that it is not always easy to find the right way to do it. We should however spot few avenues and not only one. it is good to ask the employees themselves what they consider important and pertinent in terms of recognition. A great summary and overview with great detailed informtion. I appreciate peer to peer recognition is one of the most common types of recognition used. The engagement of your workforce can increase tenfold when peers regcognize peers for great work, service or performance. This method can also be done with little investment, yet yield great results.
We rolled out a corporate recognition program 2 years ago and one of the success stories from it is the branding of the re-loadable gift card with our company logo. The employee attachment and reminder to the company contribution when they use thier card is very beneficial.

| Informative research and generates questions regarding the targeting of recognition spend and related value; definite need to better measure and evaluate value of program and ROI. Would be interested in research regarding the difference between salaried and hourly recognition programs and nature of programs in production/manufacturing environments vs professional/office/corporate. |
