Employment and Unemployment Rate Forecast

The Conference Board of Canada’s Economic Trends Division is recognized worldwide for its expertise in economic forecasting, modelling and analysis. We have produced accurate economic forecasts for more than 25 years.


Labour force: The non-institutionalized population aged 15 and over, excluding those who are unwilling or unable to work.

Unemployment rate: Proportion of the active labour force aged 15 or older who do not have a job.

Participation rate: The percentage of the population 15 years of age and older that is in the labour force.
